You know, I bet writers, agents, etc. are more likely to appreciate cliffhangers because we frequently have to wait a year or more to get the next novel in a series, so we are used to that concept. Hmm. That would make an interesting study, don't you think?Lisa Iriartehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12746425619147737744noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3001434439078518468.post-88322877229229534482008-09-07T02:02:00.000-04:002008-09-07T02:02:00.000-04:00Why wouldn't Empire be everyone's favorite? I have an easier time saying why I don't like Episode 4 as much or #6 as much. #5 just works on every level. The Brillig Bloggerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07886394602447693115noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3001434439078518468.post-24990257354260180672008-09-04T23:15:00.000-04:002008-09-04T23:15:00.000-04:00Hey, Sorry, I was away on an extended stay with my...Hey, Sorry, I was away on an extended stay with my parents for the holiday. I do so miss the suburbs and central air conditioning :). Unfortunately they do not have any internet :(.

Tropic Thunder was a blast, though I had to hold in some laughter because I was seeing it with my Dad. It's funny, he didn't realize at all that Tom Cruise was in the movie :).

Swing Vote sounds interesting, especially with the elections coming up. One of my favorite election movies was the Bob Roberts film, if it's anything like that.

Love reading the reviews, keeps me up to date on movies I'd otherwise be uniformed on, though I do still want to see Mongol despite your review :).Lynxswifthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08309270213857383923noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3001434439078518468.post-72147237108220535702008-09-02T17:52:00.000-04:002008-09-02T17:52:00.000-04:00Yes, you have given me much to peruse these past f...Yes, you have given me much to peruse these past few days. Sadly, I'm not a tennis fan, although growing up, my friend, Nicole Arendt, was a professional tennis player for a short-lived career.

As for film, well, I have two children, so my film viewing is fairly limited to the G-rated flicks. I do get a night out with the hubby once in a while, and my best friend and I take in all the horror films. I'm a sucker for a good zombie movie. But I do use your reviews as something of a guideline for what I absolutely won't go to see, if you give it a bad rating.

I noticed on your agency site that one of your favorite films is The Empire Strikes Back. That's my favorite of the Star Wars films as well. And I know we are in the minority there. But the romantic element is so well portrayed, the character development is great, and I actually like a good cliffhanger. Why was it your favorite?Lisa Iriartehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12746425619147737744noreply@blogger.com
